Standing at Entry/Exit Zones

  • Employees standing in the entry or exit zones can trigger multiple entry/exit events, which may be automatically assigned to sessions of other customers entering or leaving the store.

  • Ensure area for pouring beverages isn't close enough to exit area to create bottlenecks (if applicable).

Potential issues:

  • Blocking entry and limiting customer throughput.
  • Delayed processing time of customer receipts.
  • Customer sessions merged with employee entries.

Suggested actions:

  • Define a dedicated place for employees assisting the customers (checking IDs, opening bottles, responding to questions), with a certain distance from the entry/exit area.
  • Place the QR code for web-receipt portal further away from the exit gates so there isn’t a line that forms with people waiting to scan the code just after the exit.
