AiFi is happy to announce the release of OASIS 5.4, a significant update introducing new features, enhancements, and improvements aimed at further refining the retail experience.

This release focuses on expanding tax compliance options, enhancing shopper interaction insights, and integrating flexible payment solutions for a seamless operation. Here’s a review of the main features delivered with OASIS 5.4.

AiFi Taxes​

Our tax-calculator service now supports more options to comply with local tax requirements - rounding level and rounding precision.

  • Added support for defining tax rounding level between line, tax group, and receipt level.
  • Added support for defining tax rounding precision (e.g., to integer / 1 decimal / 2 decimal places).

Restricted Interactions Notifications​

We’ve added a new webhook that can notify Retailers about interactions with restricted items in real-time. There’s no need to create checkout/event zones anymore to be notified about restricted interactions of shoppers!

The Special Attention Shopper service monitors interactions with restricted products and exposes them through the webhook: /interactions/restricted_interaction

Zone API​

Shopper Snapshots​

We’ve made it possible to receive camera snapshots of shoppers who are in the zone at the timestamp requested through Zone API. When enabled, a URL containing a cropped camera snapshot will be sent through the Zone API webhook:

This feature is optional and dedicated to clients who have gathered consent from shoppers to capture their images including face, e.g., for facial recognition / age verification purposes.

Interaction Counts​

We’ve enhanced the Zone API webhooks to include the interaction count of shoppers in the zone. This allows retailers to get information on how many times a shopper interacted with products, including restricted products.

The shopper object is expanded with the following:

Payments​

Atrium Integration​

We’ve certified a new payment integration with Atrium, a cloud-based campus card management solution for universities and institutions of any size. AiFi now supports the use of Atrium Campus and Employee cards in autonomous stores across universities, campuses, and dormitories through Atrium Terminals!

Clients can have Atrium Payment Terminals alongside another payment terminal (e.g., Shift4, FreedomPay, or Adyen), allowing shoppers to choose between traditional debit/credit cards or Campus/Employee ID cards when entering the store.

Entry Displays​

No-Registration Flow Screens​

Improved assets for the NRF screens, including:

  • Welcome screens
  • Wait / loading screens
  • Error screens and flows

Support for custom background colors and screen timeouts between screens:

  • Success and Next In Line
  • Next In Line and Welcome

Registration Flow Screens​

  • Fixed the malfunctioning backspace / delete button on phone / email input.
  • Fixed the scaling / alignment issue of the Welcome screen.
