OASIS v6.3
Release date: September 26, 2025
The OASIS 6.3.0 release focuses on three priorities: making shopper tracking smarter and more accurate, simplifying integrations for smoother operations, and fixing key issues that affected reliability in payments and store flows.
These updates are designed to reduce manual work, ensure tax and payment compliance, and improve the shopper experience from entry to checkout.
AI for Spatial Understanding
IMPROVED In-n-out Refactor
The system that tracks when shoppers enter and exit the store (known as In-n-out) has been fully rebuilt. Previously, tracking could miss events in busy environments or lose precision in timing, leading to inconsistent shopper data.
The refactored version is more reliable, handles traffic spikes better, and provides cleaner insights for store operators. This means fewer errors in shopper counts and a smoother handoff of shopper events to downstream systems.
Frictionless Commerce
NEW Webhook Management in AiFi Console
In earlier versions, setting up or changing webhooks often required technical help or database updates. Now, webhooks can be managed directly in the AiFi Console. This makes it much easier to connect OASIS with loyalty systems, tax providers, or custom integrations. Retailers can quickly test, adjust, and deploy changes without waiting on engineering, cutting down delays and complexity.

NEW Decommissioned Store Status
Before this update, closed stores could still appear in sync jobs or reports, creating unnecessary noise and performance overhead. A new “Decommissioned” status has been added so permanently closed stores are excluded from operations. This improves system performance and gives retailers a more accurate view of their active store network.
NEW OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials via AiFi Console
OASIS 6.3.0 now supports client credential management directly through the AiFi Console. This update allows developers and retailers to securely create API applications, generate OAuth 2.0 credentials, and obtain access tokens without waiting for support requests.
The new flow significantly simplifies how retailers integrate with AiFi OASIS APIs, making it faster to connect services, automate data exchanges, or test new capabilities in a controlled sandbox environment.

IMPROVED Discounts Based on Card BIN with Avalara Taxes
Applying discounts alongside Avalara tax calculations sometimes led to incorrect reporting. With 6.3.0, the discount applied to a specific card brand has been updated so both flat and percentage discounts work seamlessly with Avalara. This ensures taxes are always calculated correctly, reducing reconciliation issues and making discount campaigns safe to use at scale.
NEW Fraud Prevention at Self-Checkout
Fraud at self-checkout has been a growing challenge. This release introduces real-time fraud detection at SCO, helping retailers identify suspicious activity without slowing down the checkout process. Shoppers continue to experience fast, seamless checkouts, while retailers gain stronger protection against revenue loss.
Bug Fixes
Shopper Re-identification Fixes
Shopper re-identification could sometimes fail when a customer re-entered the store, leading to confusing shopper flows. This has been fixed, ensuring shoppers are consistently recognized and their journey continues smoothly.
Improved Payment Reliability with Adyen
Some shoppers experienced failed payments because Adyen didn't always correctly handle returning shoppers' details. This fix ensures payments are more reliable, reducing failed transactions and delivering a smoother checkout experience.
More Reliable Payment Status Updates
In rare cases, payment statuses weren't updated after temporary outages in the payment bridge, causing reporting mismatches and manual intervention. The update ensures that payment statuses are now correctly updated even after disruptions, reducing operational overhead and improving trust in reporting.
